CON 1300 / CON 1300V: Contract Award - For Federal Civilian Agencies (FAC-C)

sold out

CON 1300, the third course in the FAC-C (federal civilian) contracting certification series, covers the award phase — where you evaluate offers, negotiate, and pick the right one. Delivered under Phoenix Canyon's DAU-Equivalent Provider status, this course picks up exactly where the pre-award course (CON 1200) leaves off.

In this course you will learn the award process — everything from how to protect and review offers, the requirements outlined in the Procurement Integrity Act, and how to conduct a source selection that holds up under scrutiny, to the proper way to document all of the decisions, findings, and determinations made along the way. You will learn how to conduct cost and price analysis, make fair and reasonable determinations, plan and conduct negotiations that strengthen the government's position, and apply the rules that govern communications with offerors — all the way through to making the actual award. Most importantly though, you will learn how to protect your organization from the threat of protest, and what to do when there is one.

Best for: entry-level 1102s and contracting staff pursuing FAC-C certification.

Whether you take it for certification or not — this is a great way to earn CLPs while building genuinely valuable, immediately usable contracting skills. Solid knowledge, real CLP credit, and practical tools and information to make you better at your job.

Format: 8 days / 64 CLPs. Classroom or virtual.

Pricing is set per engagement. Contact Phoenix Canyon to request a quote.
