This course prepares Contracting Officer's Representatives at DoD components and defense agencies to monitor contractor performance, document what matters, and stay inside the limits of their authority — the surveillance skills that keep a defense contract on track and the government protected. With a special focus on the Anti-Deficiency Act and other boundary-setting statutes, CORs learn the why behind the how — so they think critically and apply what they've learned even when real life doesn't match the course slides. This isn't a lecture-and-leave course: expect real case studies, scenario work, and hands-on practice researching the rules you'll actually use on the job. Includes updated Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO FAR) references, instruction on researching the RFO FAR, using the FAR Companion and Practitioner's Albums, and finding the Class Deviations that apply to them. Delivered live under Phoenix Canyon's DAU-Equivalent Provider status as COR 222 (classroom) or COR 222V (virtual), this course is the live, instructor-led equivalent of DAU's self-paced CLC 222. Completion satisfies the DoD COR training requirement for Type A, B, and C contracts (per DoDI 5000.72). Earns 32 CLPs (standard) or 40 CLPs (extended), depending on the course length you select.
Format: 4 or 5 days / 32–40 CLPs. Classroom or virtual.
Pricing is set per engagement. Contact Phoenix Canyon to request a quote.
