Do you deliver training virtually or on-site?
Both. Virtual courses run live on Microsoft Teams (or on Zoom or Adobe Connect if you prefer) — a real instructor teaching in real time, not recordings. For on-site training, we come to you, or you can come to us in sunny Tucson, Arizona. We have contacts at world-renowned resorts in our local area, allowing us to typically negotiate not only a great venue with stunning views, but also a block of hotel rooms if you wish (often at government per diem travel rates).

Do your courses count for Professional Development or Continuous Learning Requirements (CLPs or CEUs)?
Yes. Every attendee receives a certificate of completion documenting training hours and CLPs and CEUs earned. Because organizations set their own rules on what qualifies for continuous learning or professional development credit, please check with your employer to confirm eligibility.

Do you only train government employees?
No, we offer courses for everyone. We train private companies, federal agencies, federal contractors, Tribal Nations, Nonprofits, and state and local governments. Many courses were designed for a specific audience, but we truly have something for everyone. Be sure to check out the “Best for” section within each course listing.

Do you offer training for government personnel?
Yes. We offer the full range of federal contracting, COR, program management, federal law, and Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) training both for Department of Defense agencies and federal civilian agencies. Our instructors have trained students from over 25 federal agencies. We are a DAU/WarU Equivalent Provider.

What does "DAU/WarU Equivalent Provider" mean?
It means Phoenix Canyon has been recognized by DAU/WarU as an Equivalent Training Provider — meaning our federal acquisition training courses covering DAU/WarU curriculum teach the same body of knowledge. You get the substance without the scheduling headache.

Do you offer GovCon/federal contracting training for federal contractors?
Yes. We not only offer it, we have even hand-crafted a number of incredibly helpful courses just for you! What is Phoenix Canyon’s Federal Contractor Certification Program?
This program was designed to fill a genuine gap in the market, giving contractors an opportunity to train at the same level as government contracting personnel. Rather than a surface-level understanding, here you will learn to think like a contracting officer: you'll know what the government should be doing at every stage (and why) — so you'll be able to spot when they get it wrong. Curriculum is based on the actual CON 1100-1400 courses given to federal contracting personnel — and is taught by an instructor who has taught these same concepts to over 1,000 federal acquisition personnel. Everything you need to turn your team into subject-matter experts. Ten days of training, completed at a pace that works for your business, resulting in Phoenix Canyon’s Federal Contractor Certification.

Do you offer training for private companies?
I thought you’d never ask! Yes, we do — and you are going to love our selection! We have courses on negotiation, leadership, critical thinking, communication, reading people & detecting deception (and more) in our Skills That Drive Results section of our course catalog. Plus, we have courses on Compliance, Audits, and Grants that can be incredibly beneficial for any organization.

Can you customize a course for our organization?
Yes. Tailoring content to your agency, mission, or workforce is normal for us, not a premium add-on. Tell us what you need.

How far in advance should we book?
For on-site training, sooner is better — venues take lead time. For virtual courses, we can often move quickly. Either way, ask. We've been known to work magic and are happy to do it again.
